Vector Graphics

  • Which is made with lines, points, curves and shapes or polygons.
  • All are based on the mathematical expression to represent the image in computer graphics.
  • Vector graphics are based on vectors.
  • Vector graphics are generated by illustration software such as Adobe illustrator or Quark xpress can be scaled, rotated, moved, or otherwise manipulated to any degree without ant loss of quality.
  • It is also called object oriented graphics.
  • File extensions are .AI, .SVG, .DRW, .EPS

Advantages:
  • Resize without image quality loss.
  • It doesn't need a lot of computer memory.
  • Resolution independent.
