Principles:
- Contrast: Black and White schemes are popular because they they contain a lot of contrast between elements.
- Space: Minimalism is built on space, and while you don't have to include massive amounts of white-space, element breathability must.
- Organization: Use a grid. Go back to some of the roots of minimalism and use of lines and rectangles.
- Color: Color takes on added significance in a minimalist design. Choosing the right palette or accent colors is vital. Many designers opt for a simple black,white or gray palette.
- Dominant visual: Don;t use too many visual trap. Pick one thing and make it dominant. Dominant visual include an image. block of text or element with surprising color.
- Typography: Sans Serif typography is common usage of minimalist frameworks. Typeface should be clean line and simple strokes. Bold or thin typeface are usable.
- Restricted features and elements: Eliminate any that are not required to support the core functionality or message.
